Shall I Obey Jesus or My Church?

MUST I FOLLOW JESUS TO BE SAVED?

OK, Christian, let me ask you this; In John 14:15 Jesus said, ‘if you love me you will keep my commandments’.  And in John 8:51 Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.”   So, must a person follow Jesus by obeying his words to be saved?  If you say ‘yes’, I congratulate you for giving the correct answer…but on the other hand, in giving that answer you have just incriminated yourself, for Christian do not keep Jesus’ words or obey Jesus’ teachings or commands. For example, In Matthew 5:17-20  Jesus told us to keep the Old Testament Law and Prophets until heaven and earth pass away, every jot and tittle.  What Christian does that?  None.

In Matthew 4:10 Jesus said that we are to worship Yahoveh and serve Him only.  In Mark 12:29 Jesus said there is one God, His name in Yahoveh, and He is one.  What Christian worships Yahoveh alone?

If you answer ‘no’ to that question, You’re not a Christian by definition, since a being a Christian means to be a follower of ‘Christ’.

Anyone would have a hard time convincing Jesus that they believe in him, when they won’t obey him.  How can anyone think themselves to be saved when the reject God’s commandments and presumptuously break His laws?  They are in rebellion against God's authority.

Why would someone reject God’s commandments, and Jesus’ commandments?  Because they have been deceived into being lawless.  People, having been told by their pastors and priests that they are not under the law, will reject it and not even try to keep it.  So when God and Jesus tell us to keep the Old Testament ‘law and prophets’, but our preacher tells us we don’t have to, so who are we going to believe?  Make a wise decision, your eternal life is at stake.

While there are some pastors that will tell us to keep the Ten Commandments, I don’t know any pastors, or priests, who will tell us to keep the ‘law and the prophets’ as Jesus commanded– which would include eating Biblical Kosher and keeping God’s holy days.  Don't let yourself be deceived...

Jesus spoke Yahoveh's words with His Authority (John 7:17, 12:49).  He said he is to be our only teacher (Matthew 24:10).  He said by his word we will be Judged (John 12:48).  He told us to keep the Old Testament "Law and prophets" until heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 5:17-20).  He told us to keep the Commandments of God (John 14:15, Revelation 22:14).  He said if we don't keep his words, we will see death (Matthew 7:26-27).  He said we'll receive eternal life if we keep his words (John 8:51, Matthew 7:24-25).  He said if we don't obey God's commandments our worship is in vain (Matthew 15:9, Mark 7:7).

My church tells me I don't need to keep the Old Testament 'law and prophets', but Jesus said if I don't I'll not gain eternal life.  Who shall I believe?  Jesus?  Or my Church?

If Jesus spoke Yahoveh's words with Yahoveh's authority, as he said he did, then how could we dare not believe him or obey him?  Jesus told us Yahoveh is the one true God, and Yahoveh is one, not three (Mark 12:28-29, John 17:3) and Jesus said we are to worship Yahoveh alone (Matthew 4:10, Luke 4:8), whom he worshiped (John 4:23-24) and was his God and Father (John 20:17).  Jesus denied that he was God many times, (Matthew 19:17 and John 14:1 for example) and told us not to worship him (Revelation 22:8-9) but to worship God.

Yet the Church tells me that God is three persons and we are to worship all three, in violation of God's First Commandment.  Who do I believe?  Jesus? Or the Church?
